Charters - Rates and Packages
Day Charters - $450
Our standard day charter consists of a 5 hour trip (dock to dock) for 1-3 people ($75 to add a 4th person). All the fishing gear and bait are supplied. If we reach our limit and there is time remaining we will continue to fish catch and release. There will be an additional $10 fish cleaning charge for each limit (6 fish).
Season Pass - Great Savings
Get a Season Pass and fish with Detroit River Walleye Guide, Captain
Z for multiple trips and save big money. As a season pass holder you
become a special member of Captain Z's Fishing Club. You get the first
choice of dates and times before anyone else. You also get the opportunity
to learn different walleye catching techniques from Captain Z. Membership
includes a free Captain Z T-shirt. Call for more details.
Groups of 3: Groups of 4:
3 trips = $1100
5 trips = $1800
7 trips = $2500
3 trips = $1350
5 trips = $2200
7 trips = $3000
Hook & Cook - $600
The Hook and Cook fishing charter is a great way for a couple to experience all the Detroit area has to offer ($200 more for 2 couples). You will head out with Captain Z to a prime fishing spot. Secure your catch of fish and then Captain Z will take you to a waterfront restaurant of your choosing where they will cook your freshly caught fish dinner. Choose from Sindbad's, Portofino's, or Mike's on the water. Available for up to 4 passengers. This package is typically about 4-7 hours. No discounts can be applied to this package, dinner is at guests cost.
Night Bite Charter - $450
Designed for a max of 3 people. The Night Bite is the newest technique for catching Detroit River Walleye and other species found in the Detroit River. Equipped with a head lamp and a jig, crankbait, or crawler harness you are ready for a wild adventure. When the moon is full you can often spot the Walleye's eyes reflect in the shallow water. Imagine casting for walleye while enjoying the Detroit skylne and a concert during one of the summer festivals in Windsor or Hart Plaza. You will be equipped with everything you need for a night of fishing on the Detroit River. Only Captain Z Charters offer this experience.

Captain Z can create custom packages as needed. We do Bachelor Parties, Business Meetings, Office Parties, Home School Recreation, Retirement Celebrations, etc. Captain Z can accommodate larger parties up to 10 passengers (2 boats) Captain Z can create a custom package to fit your needs.

Thank you for choosing Captain Z Charters. Below is information to assist you with your experience on the day of your charter:
All Detroit Fishing Charters are weather permitting. In most cases we will fish unless Captain Z deems it unsafe or the fishing conditions are not optimal. Yes. We will reschedule if the weather is bad.
Have a Michigan and Canadian License along with a valid passport or enhanced ID.
Dress appropriate for the weather. Wind gear, eye wear, hat, sunscreen are good ideas.
Cameras, food and drink are encouraged (no alcohol or tobacco). Bring a cooler if you plan to take your catch home.
We will pre-arrange a meeting point up to 3 days prior to your charter. Captain Z will contact you.
